Yes, I remember it clearly. I remember when this guild was formed. Years ago, in fact, I was a member myself of the Itani Alliance, I was! The predecessor to this very guild. A young lad, eager, naïve—a trader, miner, and border patrol addict.
Yes, that's right, I remember the days of the original EC-88's, the first Deneb Run
ever, and before all this sector fog, conquerable stations, heavy assault cruisers and friend key nonsense!
But more seriously, a few days ago I was thinking quietly to myself, reminiscing, and my mind came to rest on Vendetta. Logging onto the website, I saw my account was still active. I had joined in August 2005...!
I quickly renewed my subscription (with my own credit card, mind you) and found trusty old Atan Yomane, sitting in a Vulture somewhere deep in Serco space. The rest, my friends, is history. I have become addicted once again.
If you want to have a look at my stats, I can quote my application from last year (most of which hasn't changed, although in a year's time I've managed to level up +1 Mining, Light and Heavy Weapons and Combat, and earned more medal status for Queen-killing):

I can tell you that I've killed 5,694 bots, completed 337 missions or something. My dueling status isn't that good. Never much of a PvP, more of a miner/cargo man. I have Itani Admire (which I still have, mere INCHES from POS!) Serco Neutral (which I've worked on since the time I re-applied, I'm up to Admire now I think) and UIT Respect (which I've now upped to Admire, I think). The old post says I've killed 6/10 Queens — now I've killed more than 25, and gotten the badge. I've done lots more prospecting missions and dueling since then. As for badges and awards, I definitely have the trading badges, the hive hunter veteran badges, mining badges and probably any other merchant-type badge there is. Probably up to Denic III, Pentric II and a bunch of other stuff. I have ships in Sedina, Itan, and a bunch of UIT stations.
Blargh, blargh, blargh... the point is... well... I've missed VO. And I've missed you all so very much. So I hope you consider my re-re-re-request for guild membership. And this time, I plan to stick around. With all that's going on at Guild Software, I can't imagine another game I'd want to play!
